Tapping someone nearby exchanges cards directly over Bluetooth. It doesn't go through a server.
Short-range Bluetooth, and nothing else.
Everything nearby (the bubbles, event rooms, and the little arcade) runs on that same short-range Bluetooth signal. Spunj never asks for access to your local network or Wi-Fi, which is one less permission prompt when you first open it.
One switch turns all of it off.
Spunjable is a single master control. Flip it off and you stop broadcasting entirely. You disappear from bubbles, from event rooms, and from the arcade at the same time. There's no half-on state to keep track of.
Location is read once, only when you ask.
The only feature that uses location is Favorite Places. When you tap to tag a place, Spunj takes a single reading to confirm you're actually there, then stops. No background tracking, no history of where you've been, and the coordinates are never sent to our servers.
Your private notes stay private.
Every place you tag can carry a private note, just for you, a reminder of why it mattered or who you met there. When you share that place with someone else, the note you wrote on it isn't included. There's no field for it in what gets shared, so the little details you keep for yourself never leave your phone.
